<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;margin-left:0;margin-right:0;"><span style="color:#232629;"><span style="background-color:#ffffff;">I've come to this point after finding problems with QGIS using KDE Neon  - library problems with the binary and age problems with the flatpack version.</p>
<p> I'm running the latest KDE Neon version which runs on Ubuntu 22.04</span></span></p>
<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;margin-left:0;margin-right:0;"><br />I can now build the latest development version, but I need the latest stable version - 3_36 ( with the appropriate tag)</p>
<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;margin-left:0;margin-right:0;">I've tried the  <a href="https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/blob/master/INSTALL.md#39-building-different-branches">procedure for building different branches</a> ( see below) but in spite of receiving assistance from list members it hasn't been successful</p>
<p> </p>
<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;margin-left:0;margin-right:0;"><span style="color:#232629;"><span style="background-color:#ffffff;"> git commit</span></span></p>
<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;margin-left:0;margin-right:0;"><span style="color:#232629;"><span style="background-color:#ffffff;">git worktree add ../release-3_36</span></span></p>
<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;margin-left:0;margin-right:0;"><span style="color:#232629;"><span style="background-color:#ffffff;">cd ../release-3_36</span></span></p>
<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;margin-left:0;margin-right:0;"><span style="color:#232629;"><span style="background-color:#ffffff;">git fetch qgis/master</span></span></p>
<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;margin-left:0;margin-right:0;"><span style="color:#232629;"><span style="background-color:#ffffff;">git rebase -i qgis/master</span></span></p>
<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;margin-left:0;margin-right:0;"><span style="color:#232629;"><span style="background-color:#ffffff;"># only keep the commits to be pushed</span></span></p>
<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;margin-left:0;margin-right:0;"><span style="color:#232629;"><span style="background-color:#ffffff;">git push -u QGIS release-3_36</span></span></p>
<br /><p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;margin-left:0;margin-right:0;">One suggestion was to build 3_36 by a more direct method, but I don't know what that entails. Looks like I'm likely to be doing this for a long time so I'd like get a reliable method in place.</p>
<br /><p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;margin-left:0;margin-right:0;">Any thoughts would be most appreciated.</p>
