[Qgis-psc] Fwd: Re: [Qgis-user] Problem with Managing Plugins with qgis 1.8

Hi all.
I think we have a problem here: several authors did not migrate their
plugins, and users start complaining about it. For several plugins, this
is actually a good thing, because they are obsolete and unmaintained,
but we genuinely miss some important ones (one for all: OpenLayers). I
was tinking of making a list of the crucial ones, and personally invite
authors to migrate them, offering help if needed, but perhaps it is
better to have a general policy as PSC?
Thanks for your thoughts.
All the best.

This was removed as of 1.8 as we would like people to use the
plugins.qgis.org infrastructure.

try to edit ~/.config/QuantumGIS/QGIS.conf

And set your plugin repos entry to something like this (make a backup
first if needed):

plugin-repos\QGIS%20Official%20Repository\url=http://plugins.qgis.org/plugins/plugins.xml
