Hi Tim,
Giovanni Manghi has been dealing with the bug queue, I think his advice could be
useful here. Also, Juergen should have a clear idea of whether some of the blockers
could be fixed.
One of the blockers (http://hub.qgis.org/issues/8068) is also partly done by Larry,
could be good to ask him also; if he needs a few extra days, of some help, it could
be worth the while.
