Hi all.
More info from Debian:

1) Debian works closely with an attorney on Trademark matters, and I
strongly encourage you to retain an attorney as well, as your specific
situation will most certainly differ from ours.
2) I could not be sure from your website whether or not you have one,
but to register a trademark for an OSS project, one needs a company to
act as the registrant. For a project that has an associated non-profit
foundation, registration would be handled through that organization.
For those non-incorporated projects, like Debian, we needed to work
with one of our trusted organizations to hold and register the TM on
our behalf. In our case it was SPI, but there are a number of
organizations to work with, who might be able to provide this service,
including the SFC [1].

If you have any more specific questions, we can try to answer, but
bear in mind we are not attorneys, so please do not consider it legal
advice.. It's also very likely your situation differs from Debian's so
your path will likely differ as well.
