There are more than 400 issues in the doc repo and without help and active contributors i am afraid QGIS Official Documentation becomes once again very outdated, useless for many releases, despite these last years efforts. There are places for advanced writers, reviewers but also for beginners (with the 'easy' label). 

I think this deserves a post on it's own:

- please help writing docs! (because: we need you; it is a good way to
get to known to new functionalities, you get known with the community,
<fill in more> etc)

Any good english writer volunteering to write this post?
