[Qgis-psc] Fwd: [LAStools] Re: U.S. Department of Interior (DoI) scared of Laser Chickens

Dear QGIS Project Steering Committee,

I am a first-time writer here. However I am a long time user of QGIS and an
OSGEO advocate.

I would like to highlight a series of online harassment in the OSGEO
community.

Martin Isenburg has waged an online harassment campaign against several
prominent members of the lidar and geospatial communities for the last
several weeks. Although his claims were over-the-top and borderline
threatening, he did not directly violate any well accepted norms of healthy
online communities.

Yesterday it appears Martin escalated his threats to doxx a US Civil
Servant in an effort to extract an apology for pointing out Martin's
increasingly erratic behaviour. The erratic behaviour the US Civil Servant
highlighted in a series of social media posts and public emails that
include lots of references to bombs, explosions, nuclear weapons, and
lasers. Alongside this imagery Martin also likes to name names of people
and institutions. Martin claims this is all a joke, however it is obvious
that he is embracing a growing, toxic trend in social media where you can
say whatever you want- as long as you were "just joking" in the end.

I bring this to you all as Martin's current target (an unamed US Civil
Servant at BLM described by Martin as "mid-level management") was brought
into his crosshairs by a WhatsApp message sent from Marco (QGIS Chair).
Although this may be an unattended consequence, it is a consequence
nonetheless.

I implore the QGIS Steering Commitee to speak with Martin and do everything
in your ability to prevent Martin from publishing a private individual's
name and information on the internet. Martin is escalating his harassment
campaign to try and recruit other members of the OSGEO community to do his
dirty work.

On a final note, thank you for all the hard work you all put in on the QGIS
project. I benefit everyday. I only raise these concerns because I think
the OSGEO is better without doxxing, harassment, and bullying of any form.
I hope you will agree and take action.

Aloha,
Ross

Hi Ross,

what happened? Did you not get your favorite ice cream flavor today? Did
your partner make you sleep on the living room sofa again? Or were they out
of your favorite pizza topping this week? Either way. This does not seem to
be a game that you are cut out for playing, so I suggest you go back to
your Netflix playlist, tough boy! This is something for the Knights
of Cydonia like yours truly, Sir Martin.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=G_sBOsh-vyI

I am REALLY DONE getting trodden on by US bullies. Some douchebag mid-level
manager who has no idea who I am and how I do things must have miss-read a
sentence of mine. He must have assumed that me stating something like
"creating LASzip and LAStools to get back at my former employers LLNL and
those who facilitated my abuse such as DoD, DoE, DHS, and DoI" would mean
that I had "planted some malicious code into the software". Chicken Poop. I
would never do such a thing. Unlike these dorks I am a man of class and
integrity. This is not how this sentence was meant. I created LASzip and
LAStools so I would have the financial freedom and the community
recognition to LEGALLY get back at them someday via a LAWSUIT and the
DEMAND of DAMAGES for EMPLOYEE ABUSE in a COURT of LAW. And that day is
near.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=uelHwf8o7_U

I guess he or she thinks like that because he or she knows that it is
exactly these kind of UNSPORTSMAN, UNFAIR and MEAN methods of ABUSE and
DESTRUCTION that the US agencies that were named would be using against me,
if the roles were reversed. You know nothing, Ross Nans! I know how your
agencies operate. I was on the receiving end before. So you tell me I
should "SHUT UP" when - deja vu - a mere 10 years later they again come at
me with FALSE ACCUSATIONS and SLANDER. Poop on you, Ross Nans! I am
standing up for my rights this time. Either help me tame the monster that
these agencies have become or crawl back under your rock.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=BMOcXu-JheA

I would like them to apologize to me for suggesting that I have planted
malicious code inside of LAStools. This is defamation and slander of the
LAStools brand and can lead to a libel lawsuit. Unlike my "funny yet tough
talking" that is merely me training my lines for the upcoming reality show
(here some greetings to Steve Colbert, Trevor Noah, Jon Steward, Jim
Fallon, Jan Boehmermann, and John Oliver. thanks for all your inspiration)
and that is completely legal. However what the BLM and the DoI are doing at
the moment that is actually HIGHLY ILLEGAL!!!

https://youtube.com/watch?v=HTj8EoVNqhw

I may talk tough. But I am - as always - well intended, forgive quickly
and very loving. My "lust for revenge" has long faded. But my "passion for
justice" still burns strong. LLNL and DoD raped my heart and brain to the
point that I tried to kill myself. Three times. Turns out I am very hard to
kill.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=VlbaJA7aO9M

Now that I am finally strong enough again, now I want justice.

Loving Regards,

Martin @rapidlasso

PS: Any suggestion in human rights lawyers for employee abuse cases? Lisa
Bloom? Harmeet Dhillon? Gloria Allred? Or Amal ... well, she married that
toyboi-actor that makes commercials for an abusive coffee company. Sure he
is cute. But is she now compromised? Can she still be trusted ... ?
