Hi all,

We have to be a bit cautious about additional financial commitments.
I am not against also paying Giovanni for his work. But I am not
quite sure if we can afford it. With the payments for Jürgen and
Martin our bank account will be almost exhausted.

However:

- I do not know what we still have in PayPal - is it still Horst who
manages this? We did not have a PayPal transfer for 2-3 months. So
expect there to be some money in PayPal. Paolo - did you ask Horst
to forward us the PayPal login data?

- I don't know the exact amounts owe Jürgen and Martin.

I just wanted to mention that our funds will be soon exhausted and
we cannot commit to additional paid work currently, other than the 2
days each for Martin/Jürgen.
Thank you Andreas for the update about the status of the
finances. What would be the cost of 2 * half a week + bug queue
management? I understand the € 14'800 is before having paied
Jürgen and Martin. What is the amount on our account after all
the bug fixing activities?

I'm most likely in favor of the additional work, but imho it is
hard to vote on something without knowing the exact numbers.
The delay of the release is not something that happened
unexpectedly. I can hardly remind a release where it did not
happen. So instead of a quicker decision system we need a budget
plan.
Hi all.
I agree:
* we need a better classification system to prioritize
the importance
of bugs (I still think the Debian approach is a good
one)
* we need someone managing the bug queue, particularly
during the
freezing period, but also outside it
* we need some more efficient decision system.
All in all, this boils down to investing some resource
to support key
roles. I'd suggest to send the OK straight away for an
extra 2 days of
bugfixing for both Martin and Juergen, and discuss the
issue in the
next PSC meeting.
All the best.

Can I suggest then that (if we have the funds) we pay
Giovanni to also spend two days reviewing the tickets
and feeding Martin and Juergen the highest priority
issues after establishing how to reproduce them.

+1 from me for them to proceed

Regards
