<p>Hi Tim,</p>
<p>Perfect! That's very useful.</p>
<p>Your email was unfortunately buried among the many recent e-mails I received - but now that you remind me, I found it.</p>
<p>I will use that tool to migrate the existing sponsors and sorry for missing your initial e-mail!</p>

<div class=""> </div>
<div class=""> </div>
<div class="">I sent you and Paolo an email a few days ago about moving sponsorship management to the <a class="" href="http://changelog.qgis.org">changelog.qgis.org</a>. Its just the first version but it lets you create sponsors, sponsorship periods and sponsorship levels and then will automatically work out who is a sponsor for any point in time. On each version release it will list who were the current sponsors at the time of the release. So the idea is that all we need to do is :</div>
<div class=""> </div>
<div class="">* register new sponsors when they arrive to the project</div>
<div class="">* register sponsorship periods and levels each time a sponsor renews their agreement</div>
<div class="">* it will take care of the rest</div>
<div class=""> </div>
<div class="">So far I just copied a few sponsors into the system - I need help to get them all moved in. I am thinking there are lots of other things we can do with this e.g.</div>
<div class=""> </div>
<div class="">* make a sponsors page e.g. <a class="" href="http://sponsors.qgis.org">http://sponsors.qgis.org</a> that shows all current and past sponsors</div>
<div class="">* generate a nice 'sponsors cloud' image that can be placed onto promotional material (with logos scaled to the correct sizes based on sponsorship level)</div>
<div class="">* make some nice graphs and reports showing (hopefully) growing sponsorship levels over time</div>
<div class=""> </div>
<div class="">Right now I just have the basics implemented but we will gradually add the other nice bits over time.</div>
<div class=""> </div>
<div class="">Oh and I will add an RST exporter too so that we can easily generate a static page for the sphinx docs from time to time if folks prefer it as a static site.</div>
<div class=""> </div>
<div class=""> </div>
<div class="">I sent you (Andreas) and Poalo both credentials so that you can log in and try it. Let me know if there is anything that doesn't work and I will fix it ASAP.</div>
<div class=""> </div>
<div class="">Regards</div>
<div class=""> </div>

<p class="">Hi,</p>
<p class="">I propose to get rid of our list of past sponsors at <a class="" href="http://www.qgis.org/en/site/about/sponsorship.html">http://www.qgis.org/en/site/about/sponsorship.html</a></p>
<p class="">The sponsors list is quite a pain to maintain with this complicated markup. The list of past sponsors may have been useful in the past when we had only a few sponsors.</p>
<p class="">If you don't oppose, I would clean this up and remove that section of past sponsors.</p>
<p class="">Thanks,</p>
