Dear Maria,

Thank you for getting in touch. It's great to hear that you will introduce UN experts to QGIS!

Let me forward your request for support to the PSC because many people have been much more involved in creating the training manual and discussing education efforts [0] than I have been.

I'll be happy to help where I can but most of my support effort goes into gis.stackexchange.com rather than localized platforms which might not appear on Google search results when users are looking for answers.

Best wishes
Anita

Subject: QGIS Tutorial

Dear Anita
I asked colleagues and students of mine to use and revise your tutorial in preparation of suggesting the tutorial to UN staff who is involved in the migration to Open Source.
They found it excellent, detailed and rich. Thanks for suggesting it on the GeoForAll UN Training Web Page!

Now we are starting in a month or two (at most september) a first experimental period in which we want to "work" with UN staff who will try to use the self-explaining tutorials by themselves but having some remote tutors they can ask when they have doubts.

The first software are QGIS, PostGIS and Geonode.
I wonder wheter you can be a volunteer tutor for your QGIS tutorial, contributing to the blog and forum and answering questions.

Alberta and I (Alberta, in CC, is a collegue of mine at PoliMI) will create a virtual class with UN staff as students and G4A and other people as tutors.
Are you able to help us? If not, can you suggest us another person?
We will send the people who will part of this experiment some instructions to be able to "work" in the educational Politecnico platform, which is Beep.

Many thanks and best regards!!
Maria

P.S. Anita, dear, I'm contacting you as member of QGIS PSC. If you are not the right person, please forward my email to who can help me.
