<div>The way I like to use QGIS:</div>

<div>. I am trying to install QGIS on a portable flash drive in order to be able to use it on different computers that I am using without the need for syncing and installing QGIS on each computer. Unfortunately, I cannot find a way to do so. The installer accepts only local hard drives, no flash drives (e.g. USB-sticks).</div>

<div>. Important: the main computer I am using has no internet connection (is a standalone unit), therfore, updating and downloading tools, plugins etc should be done to this flash drive when this flash drive is connected to a computer with an internet connection.</div>

<div>. Because of the above, work that I am doing in QGIS should also be saved to this flash drive.</div>

<div>. On <a href="http://geofabrik.de" target="_blank">geofabrik.de</a>, lots of OSM-downloads are available. But is there a way that you can download only the baselayer and add (download) data as you need it.</div>
