Hi,

It does really help, Maris.

I was indeed excepting to have such letters
underlined by default (like in firefox, at least on Windows) but it isn't until you press or hold Alt key. At this moment, the user
sees which letters he can use.

Is such information available in the documentation? If not, shouldn't it be?

2014-10-22 9:52 GMT+02:00 Maris Nartiss <maris.gis@gmail.com>:

Shortcut keys (menu accelerator keys) are displayed in menus with an
underscore. Activate them by pressing alt+key (use ordinary alt not
I.e. at the moment while typing this mail in Firefox, pressing "alt+f
alt+n enter" would open a new window (first combo opens &File menu,
second combo selects &New window option in &File menu and enter
activates it) (of course, "New window" has a shortcut combo ctrl+n)

I see that in current Qt, it does not reassign other keys in case they
are overlapping. Thus at the moment in Latvian QGIS pressing alt+r on
the first time will open P&roject, on second &Raster etc. menus. Needs
to be fixed manually after observing translated messages in
application.
Hope it helps,
Māris.
