Investigating a bit the other translations (es, fr, de) on GitHub, it seems that most translators treat "barscale" the same as "scalebar". So I'll do the same.<br>
Nevertheless, to me such discrepancies seem like a bug, which I will report in the bugtracker (hopefully soon).<span class=""><br>

Well, we are at 50% since yesterday when I pushed my last changes. That is 50% of the number of strings, counting words it's nearer to 25% ;-(<br>
There used to be a release for Icelandic some years ago (before transifex?), you can get still that from conservative repositories like Ubuntu which has QGIS v.2.0.1<br>
<br>
But for QGIS v.2.18 and in the git.repo, Icelandic is absent.<br>
I have to roll my own qgis_is.qm and drop it to the i18n-directory to test my translations, works really well.<br>
The primary interface and menus are done, secondary dialogs and most configuration options are well advanced; expert options and popups are ahead.<span class=""><br>
