 You are welcome to use the images available on my web page to further
 diagnose the problem. I interpret your comments to mean that you
 successfully displayed those images with a new version of QGIS depending
 upon the JasPer JPEG2000 code, but did not test QGIS depending upon Kakadu
 to display JPEG2000 images.
