 Imported shape files successfully to QGIS 1.0.0 Preview 2 with PostgreSQL
 8.3 on Ubuntu 8.04.  Using the provided shape file I get:

 CREATE TABLE ""."buffer1"("gid" int4 PRIMARY KEY,"CAT" float,"NAZWA"
