Comment:

 Problem solved by renaming PROJ.dll and libtiff.dll files in the
 C:/Windows/System32 folder to PROJ_preQgis.dll and libtiff_preQgis.dll
 respectively (see http://trac.osgeo.org/qgis/ticket/2919).
