 1. Open or create any layer with '''one''' feature;[[BR]]
 2. Toggle editing;[[BR]]
 3. Open Attribute table;[[BR]]
 4. Press Open field calculator button;[[BR]]
 5. Set 'Update existing field';[[BR]]
 6. Type in Field calculator expression new value of field;[[BR]]
 7. Press OK button;[[BR]]

 At result the record in attribute table hasn't been updated.[[BR]]
 For update table needs close and open attribute table again.
