It is all set up. Maybe it needs a helping hand.</div><div><br></div><div>I am just an ecologist who happens to use Qgis as a second language, so to speak. I am not trained in GIS although I have been using one form or another for 25 years. Since my last computer language was Fortran, I would be a hindrance to the process but I do enjoy the benefits of the knowledge people like you can contribute. And I really appreciate Qgis' power and interface since I am a Mac user and having this power on an operating system that I like saves me hours of time in the office.</div><div><br></div><div>For those of us who use this wonderful software but have no clue as to how it works, can I recommend that the brilliant people who organize and present at the Qgis conferences add a simple ?tip for the week? to this group? Such as, ?visit new youtube on adding dynamic date stamping for time series projects.? or ?best practices for georeferencing orthophotos.? or ? new book and here is the table of contents.? </div><div><br></div><div>I hate to lean on those contributors who dive deep into the code of this software to make it work so well, but maybe there are others who know this stuff up, down and sideways who would have a lot to share with users who love this product but really don?t know how to use it to its full potential. </div><div><br></div><div>My tip of the week: ?If you are new to Qgis, buy one of a number of great books that are available for cheap, Since you saved all that money not subscribing or buying from ESRI, invest in the smart people who are giving you this powerful tool."</div><div><br></div><div> <a href="https://www.findcareerinfo.com/best-qgis-books/">https://www.findcareerinfo.com/best-qgis-books/</a></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>Jim MacDougall</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><br><blockquote class="gmail_quote" type="cite" style="margin:0 0 0 .8ex;border-left:1px #ccc solid;padding-left:1ex"><div> On Nov 12, 2021, at 3:21 AM, David Galt <<a href="mailto:davidlgalt.gis+qlist@gmail.com">davidlgalt.gis+qlist@gmail.com</a>> wrote:</div><div> </div><div> Hi to anyone out there,</div><div> </div><div> I'd love to be part of an active US/North American QGIS-users group.
