message "The layer path has changed and no longer matches
what is indicated" means that the individual layer (data
file) locations have been changed and no longer match the
file paths originally saved in the project. When you move
layers or map files to different folders (using your
operating system, most commonly Windows Explorer) and then
open a QGIS project that still uses those old file paths,
you’ll get this message.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">I’m not sure
exactly what the message says in English, but it means that
QGIS cannot find the files needed to complete the map
display; in other words, there is a pathing (referencing)
issue. The way to fix it is to correct the source path from
within QGIS. That is, you need to tell QGIS the new
locations of those files that are being displayed in the
map, or the map will no longer display properly.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

translator in France and I am currently translating a
training course for a French institution. I have
downloaded the QGIS software and have been using the
official QGIS user documentation to find the right
terms. However, an error message in French is giving me
a hard time. As I am not myself attending this training
course I do not have the resources to make the error and
therefore know how it is written in English, it is a
message received if you move layers and then open a QGS
projetct. In French it says: "</span><i><span
