[Qgis-user] QGIS::Error loading wms-layer::ideas?

Hi QGIS-users!
I tried to load a wms-layer into QGIS (version 0.8.0, prev. 2), but failed. When I click on "connect", a box pops up and the error message "Kann die Antwort nicht verstehen. Der wms Provider sagte:" appears (Translation: Cannot understand response. The WMS provider said:). There's no additional information available. 

However, I *can load this wms-layer in my browser* using the query string [...]&layers=l1&format=image/png&width=400&height=300&version=1.1.1&request=GetMap
 - it's perfectly drawn.

And:
on another machine, I still have 0.8.0, prev. 1 installed. There, it *is possible to load the layer*. 

Question therefore: is there a known problem with wms-layers in the 0.8.0, prev. 2 version? Or: any ideas, how to solve this?
