[Qgis-user] No python on Fedora 10

I've just finished setting up a F 10 machine, x86_64 with qgis and
GRASS. I got the qgis rpms from the silfreed.net repo. It seems python
isn't recognized.
Here's are qgis packages:
[micha at hayun-33 ~]$ rpm -qa | grep qgis
qgis-grass-1.0.0-0.1.pre2.fc10.x86_64
qgis-python-1.0.0-0.1.pre2.fc10.x86_64
qgis-1.0.0-0.1.pre2.fc10.x86_64
qgis-theme-classic-1.0.0-0.1.pre2.fc10.x86_64

and:
[micha at hayun-33 ~]$ python -V
Python 2.5.2

But no python plugins, and no python console.
What have I missed?

(Interstingly, GRASS 6.3.0 starts up on this machine with the wxPython
interface straight away.)

Thanks,
Micha
