Hi all.
When loading a jpg raster, the shell says:

Critical: QgsCoordinateReferenceSystem::createFromWkt -- theWkt is
uninitialised, operation failed

Hi - I am still novice in use of qgis (previously used 0.11), but recently installed qgis1.0.1 as per apt-get for linux (ubuntu hardy) (did remove previous qgis as per instructions)

During install process, there were a lot of other dependencies that were suggested, I did (nearly) all of them.

when I then started to use qgis, got a similar msg as above when loading a jpg raster (msg when starting qgis in terminal). Checked up with GUI Synaptic Package Manager, added in what looked like another dependency i'd missed, and I can now load the jpg, but I still get the same message... if I wait a bit, the image loads...
Beyond me, but just thought the feedback may be useful or at least of interest to someone out there?!
