[Qgis-user] A simple solution to view ecw images in QGIS

I am a very occasional user of QGIS but I quite like it.
Unfortunately QGIS does not natively display ecw images but read BIL
images.
The current free ER Mapper viewer "ERViewer7.2Setup_20080212.exe"
exports readily ecw images to BIL.
Not a clever solution but it works well.
