[Qgis-user] Symbology/Continuous color

When you select Properties/Symbology/Continuous color for a vector layer
you can set the color for the min and for the max values, but
how are the colors for the intermediate values
calculated? They are not related at all to, for example, the color brewer.

Also, min and max values are often to prone to outliers
and/or the user might prefer to concentrate on a particular
range ot the data, would it be possible, in the future,
let the user set custom min and max values?
