In reality, the only component would be appropriate to consider for 
inclusion in the the QGIS trunk at a later date would be the exif data 
provider. It could be compiled in such a way that removes the dependency 
on the easygeotagger lib and that in turn would remove the dependency on 
LibRaw as well.  Expat and zlib are already QGIS dependencies, so it 
could be only one new dependency, Exiv2 ( which is available on Ubuntu 
from the generic repo ).
