[Qgis-user] Options/CRS/Prompt for CRS

If I select Options/CRS/Prompt for CRS, then at starting qgis 2.1.0 (with no 
project) I'm prompted for the CRS of a phantom layer 3 times. Has anybody else
found the same behaviour? I'm using ubuntu jaunty.
