[Qgis-user] installing 1.7 standalone Win XP: Couldn't load PyQGIS., Python support will be disabled.

Thanks, Milo, I'll give it a try. I need the python bindings. It looks a 
bit daunting though, last time I tried building things I got completely 
stuck.

I'm a bit surprised that the standalone installer doesn't come with the 
corresponding python sip - I hoped it would've worked out of the box. Is 
it supposed to?
