[Qgis-user] Print Composer Crash

Dear All,

I experience strange (but reproduceable) errors of the print composer. 
The error is either a program crash or no output. Settings are:

latest trunk installed via OSGEO-Installer on WinXP
Polygon layer from PostGIS-DB (dedicated DB server)
gray rectangle beneath map in print composer
Scale 1:16000 prints fine
scale 1:12000 error (memory usage raises up to more than 1GB)
scale 1:12000 and no gray rectangle prints fine
same layer as shapefile prints fine in any scale with and without gray 
rectangle.
No problems with the same data and print composer templates (*.qpt) in 
QGIS 1.6 on the same machine.

Does anybody have any hints?
