[Qgis-user] alternate shapes for polygons in map composer legend

Hi QGIS users,
is there a way to use a shape other than a rectangle for polygons in
the legend for map composer. I searched through the list and found
some old posts, along the lines of having a legend for a lake looking
like a lake or other shapes as needed. At the least, an option for
something "blobby" rather than a box would be nice.
