[Qgis-user] Getting started - Data

Dear Jeff,

We would like to help you but you need to give us more information for 
your problem.

What platform do you use?

When said you were unable to import/convert e00 files did qgis given you 
any specific error message? If so what was it?

What do you mean you were unable to load raster and vector files? Qgis 
couldn't load them due an error? What was it?


Normally it's pretty straight forward importing data. One dataset that I 
know that works for sure  is the ones from natural-earth[1].

Here's the natural earth data or world countries [2]. Give them a try if 
you can load them in qgis.
