[Qgis-user] Print Composer issue

While working in Print Composer, I deleted the right-hand windows using the
boxes with crosses (only visible in Mac OS?) to gain more viewing space +
cannot now recover them in the current Print Composer window, or any other
existing windows, or by creating a new Print Composer window.  Have tried
quitting + restarting QGIS a couple of times + now have re-installed.
Appears to make no difference.  Please can anyone help?

I am running QGIS 1.8.0 Lisboa in Mac OSX 10.6.8 on MacBookPro.
