[Qgis-user] matplotlib not found on Mac OS

I installed matplotlib following directions in
http://www.kyngchaos.com/software/python

and using the dmg provided there.
By some reason, while matplotlib is installed, qgis (and the new
version on valuetool which can use either qwt or matplotlib) cannot
find it.

I'm just a casual user of qgis on Mac, so please could any other more
experienced Mac user
help on testing this?
