[Qgis-user] Smartphone suggestions for QGIS Mobile

I have got QGIS working on my Nexus S and the screen size and resolution are the limiting factor with using QGIS on Android – Nexus S has a 4 inch screen with a resolution of 800x480.

I would really recommend a phone with a big screen (the Samsung Note has one of the biggest) or a tablet – the Nexus 7 can be had for £159 for the 8GB version and £199 for the 16GB version. That has a 7 inch screen and with a resolution of 1280 x 800.

Oggetto: Re: [Qgis-user] Smartphone suggestions for QGIS Mobile

I thank you for all those informations, but those very good smartphones are very expensives, but right now I'm planning to buy a cheaper one (at least €200): I need a mobile and I just would like to have an introduction on Mobile GIS...

Please forgive me if I've been not clear enough, but in reality I need informations about the kind of display, something like "capacitive display" Vs "resistive display": I would like to know if "capacitive" displays can be used with enough precision considering its peculiari stilus... Does someone can share its experiences to address me and other users?
