[Qgis-user] Install multiple versions on Ubuntu

you'll have to build and install one of the versions yourself
(preferably 1.9), and update various environment variables (PATH,
LD_LIBRARY_PATH) to run the custom version.

If you need any hints on setting up the parallel environments, let me know.
