[Qgis-user] clipping vector files

why is it that qgis is now shutting down everytime i try and clip a piece
of a vector file?????????

really it's jsut a headache.  this is something that should be done with no
faults are errors, is there a bug out on the vector geoprocessing clipping
function???????????????
