[Qgis-user] Geoprocessing - Intersect points within Ploygon

I'm try to create a list of points that exist within polygons. I have a delimited text layer for the points, and a shape file of polygons.

I've used Geoprocessing, Intersect off the Vector menu, specified the point layer first and polygon layer second. Although it creates a shape file, it has nothing in the resulting attribute table. I've tried different point and layer files, but still had no results.

I notice that I can carry out an intersect between two polygon layers, in this case, the attribute table has results.

I converted my point layer to to a shape file, ran the intersect again, but still no output.

There are points in the polygons(!), and the CRS match.
Can anyone advise?
