[Qgis-user] Raster Clipping

Hi all,
I am new user of QGIS. Sorry if my question is basic.
I would like to clip a raster (.jpg) using a vector layer. I used the Gdal clipper but I got an error msg: "Cannot compute bounding box of cutline."
Any suggestion?

Using both QGIS 1.8 and 1.9
I´m trying to use Tools for Lidar >LASTools

Getting an error :
"Could not load model watersheds.model
ALGORITHM:ftools:export/addgeometrycolumns"

The algorithm from FTools are now placed in QGIS Geoalgorithms - How / Where can I change the path?
