[Qgis-user] Address Database connection/Search

Hi

I am wondering if anyone can help me with the following. We have our
address database in a SQL server. I would like to access it in two ways:

1) As a Vector dataset - I have no geometry column, but each address
has an Easting and Northing

2) As a layer to search against - is there a plug-in that can connect
to a database and allow user to search for an address and then zoom to
the specific location (without having to load all of the address points
in the first instance?).

Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Steve
