[Qgis-user] Text Annotations not on the canvas but in a separate layer

Thank you Saber,

And it works, but only when Text Annotation is Activated. When for example the Pan Map Hand is activated, Ctrl + T does not work.

I would like to put the text files in a separate layer, so in that way I can turn it off and on, but that is maybe not possible?
