[Qgis-user] A QGIS action to view images under Windows?

Hi,

I use QGIS under Linux, & am trying to replicate some functionality I have created with QGIS under Linux so Windows users can also do this.

We have a Postgis database of some 16,000 fisheries acoustic transects around New Zealand, with a WFS service enabled on it. Only prototyping at present!

For each transect I have created an echogram (echo sounder picture), and loaded these into our image management tool (AtlasMD). This has a web service enabling the images to be accessed via the internet, using an id value available in the WFS.

Using Linux Mint, a QGIS action to retrieve & view an image by clicking on a transect is:

eom
https://atlas.niwa.co.nz/login/SearchService?SERVICE_REQUEST_TYPE=100&SERVICE_REQUEST_USERID=833&SERVICE_REQUEST_ASSETID=[% "atlas_id" %]&SERVICE_REQUEST_PASSKEY=public"

(Note that eom is Eye of Mate - a clone of Eye of Gnome for the Mate desktop)

Not being a Windows user - I don't know how to do this under Windows - so if ant Windows QGIS users are interested in looking at 16,000 echograms via QGIS, a WFS service & an action, could you please let me know how you did it? Both the Atlas & WFS should be publicly accessible.

Thanks,

   Brent Wood
