But you should realize that while there are few pre-canned solutions
QGIS+GRASS+R+SAGA can handle many of the common algorithms you might
want to use. I suggest you find particular methods from papers and then
delve into how to implement those by chaining together existing functions.

This is what the old AniMove plugin did, linking QGIS to the vast array
of R methods for species movement analysis.
