[Qgis-user] Mask feature by polygons

Hi Thanks for the link, but what I really want is to mask by polygon so its transparent and you can see the base layer behind or other layers, on the image I sent I have no background image or layer so I can do the marker composition.

Perhaps this link  helps. You can combine markers in style for your points layer.

to break the lines just be able to hide them using a buffer around the point
