You can use the new Node tool prototype (works fine as a plugin) + the Advanced Digitizing tools:

Hopefully the new node tool will be in QGIS 3

Hi,
I have a lot of points which have to be edited in position. 
Is there a way to manually edit a points x and y coordinate by writing ?

The idea of writing in the attribute table > exporting as CSV > importing as text is not a solution :-)
