Hi Ville,
Why not add the Colours/Symbols to your attribute table? Create individual symbols and use a field in the attribute table to call them, then use a colour field to apply the correct colour to the text.
Hope this helps or gives you a few more ideas.

Dear list,

I wonder if anyone knows if there's any solution to modify @symbol_color syntax for labeling. My issue is the following:

How could I assign label text color by symbol color, BUT by a specified symbol layer (e.g. a feature is rendered as two lines of different width, one being red and being black)? I can use @symbol_color as an expression, but it will always use the wrong symbol layer for my case.

Any idea how one could modify the expression? Thank you for your time.
