[Qgis-user] Building Footprints

I have google Satellite as my background map in QGIS. I have zoomed into an
area where there are lot of buildings. Is there any tool in QGIS that can
extract just the building footprint area? Only the building footprints and
no trees or no shrubs around the building. I have an area that has about
3000 buildings.
