Yes, that's right.

I'm having
ErrorLog ${APACHE_LOG_DIR}/error.log
set also in my QGIS server vHost.conf not in my httpd.conf.

Does this makes a difference to you?

Otherwise I would also I stick with QGIS_SERVER_LOG_FILE for now :)
