[Qgis-user] Shape file - Change "Polygon" to "Multipolygon"

If I remember it right there is no difference in the file itself. A shape file can digest single and multi geometries without changing its format. Are your polygons single or multi? If they are single it says single. Try adding some multi polygons and look what happens.
