[Qgis-user] Connecting nodes via names

Hey guys,

I have a problem connecting nodes via the shortest path method by their names. 

Layers:
1) nodes 
2) vector layer 

I simply want to know the shortest path inbetween nodes, selected by their name not coordinates (for example node „a“ and „b“) 
Based on the vector layer.
