I'm trying to print a layer of points (kml) on an Open Street Map. I'm<br>
hoping to get the highest resolution possible - so I can print them out<br>
at 600 dpi.<br>

QGIS 1.6<br>
<br>
I use the OpenLayers plugin to get the OpenStreetMap layer.<br>
<br>
I add the kml data. I zoom in a couple times (to the state of<br>
Pennsylvania).<br>
<br>
It looks fine in QGis. Now when I try to print it using "Print<br>
Composer", I select "add a map" and create a box for the map. The map<br>
shows up fine. But when I try to export it to an image (or pdf) it<br>
shows my kml markers on a *completely different* open street map<br>
background. It looks like it zoomed in 3-5 times on openstreet (and<br>
changed the center point), but the kml layer keeps its original projection.<br>
<br>
Am I using the best approach? What should I do?<br>

There have been many changes to the Python api since 0.11.<br>
You're going to need to go through each python error and lookup how the<br>
api has changed in order to fix it.<br>

there have been a change in the API from 0.x to 1.x, so you'll need to<br>
change your code in order to the plugins work on 1.6.<br>
<br>
I'm sure that if you contribute your plugins in the qgis contributed<br>
repository you'll get a lot of help/feedback.<br>

As other already noted the API did change.<br>
<br>
See the release notes of 1.0[1] - especially the script that searches and<br>
replaces some of the changes. That probably catches quite a few of the the<br>
changes, but there are surely a lot more between 1.0 and 1.6 - but it's<br>
probably a good start.<br>
