Dear Byron.
There are essentially no requirements: we have investigated this, and we
concluded that, as Alex said, qgis will run on pretty much anything that
can run a relatively modern operating system (in windows speak, win xp).
Having said that, I think you are unfair complaining about the lack of
documentation: we have a 200 pages manual available for free;
furthermore, this is open source: if anything is missing, don't
complain, fill up the gap yourself, as we are doing now.

I've been working to create something that doesn't exist, for 3
years, spending well over 4,000, yes, over four thousand hours.
Working the last year sometimes more than 14 hours daily, 7 days a
week. I've only partially finished. To have something stand in my
way at this point is disappointing. I am grateful for your efforts.
I'm trying to get what I've done thus far published. When they are
