Hi Matt<br>
<br>
It is ready to use. There might be some smaller issues to fix in the
branch. However if you just need a background map, it should be no
problem.<br>
The code is available on github, repository

Yes, it's a transparent raster. Is the work in raster_resampling
ready to use, or need I try something else?<br>
Thanks,<br>

Hi Matt<br>
<br>
Is the raster image transparent? It is a known issue that there
is banding with transparent rasters (because the raster is
printed in several pieces with a small overlap). There is work
underway in the raster_resampling branch to draw the pieces
without overlap (in fact, the credits go to Radim here since it
is only possible to avoid the overlaps after his raster provider
redesign).<br>
<br>
If the raster is fully opaque, it might be a different issue.<br>
<br>

Hi,<br>
I'm using a GeoTIFF with a color map, and when I use print
composer to export I get banding across the image if I set the
quality above 100dpi. Any thoughts?<br>
<br>
I'm using QGIS 1.9.90 nightly (updated about 4 hours ago) on
Ubuntu 11.10.<br>
